Information on Appointed representatives and firms authorised to advise on mortgages - March 2022

There are [x] Appointed Representatives and [y] Directly Authorised firms (which employ [z] approved people) authorized to advise on regulated mortgage contracts in the United Kingdom.

All information is correct as of 10 February 2022.

1. There were 5,436 authorised firms with permission to carry out the regulated activity advising on regulated mortgage contracts.
    
2. These firms acted as principal for 13,331 unique appointed representatives. Note: The contracts between the principals and their appointed representatives may not include the regulated activity advising on regulated mortgage contracts.
    
3. There were 9,502 unique individuals which held a senior management function at one of the authorised firms. There were 10,427 unique individuals which held a controlled function for the principal firms in relation to their appointed representatives. There were 19,469 unique individuals with either a senior management functions or controlled function.
