Information on financial services partnerships - November 2022

The number of partners in financial services partnerships, including hedge funds and private equity firms, broken down by gender.

Data to be broken down for each of the last five years with a year-end date of 30 June or whichever year-end is most convenient. If you cannot provide data for each of the last five years, then please provide data for each of the last three years. If that is not possible, then please provide data for each of the most recent two years.

We do not hold gender details for individuals, but we do hold information on the salutations used by individuals. Please note, that individuals may use a salutation that is different to their gender self-identification. Furthermore, there are several salutations that are gender neutral, for example, Doctor, Captain, etc, and in some instances the salutation field has been left blank; we have included an extra category ‘Unknown’ to capture this in the table below.

Please also note the data for 2018 and 2019 is based on the CF4 Partner function previously held under the Approved Persons Regime.  As the controlled function was discontinued on 9 December 2019 and replaced by the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), the data for 2020-2022 is based on the Senior Manager Function SMF27 Partner.  Further details on the SM&CR[1].
