Market abuse covers a range of behaviour, including insider dealing. We have therefore provided one figure for market abuse cases which includes insider dealing cases. More information on the FCA’s approach to market abuse is set out here: Market abuse | FCA[1].
We have interpreted ‘cases’ to mean operations. A single operation may investigate several subjects (i.e. firm(s) and/or individual(s)) at any one time.
Our latest Enforcement data[2] for 2024/25 is available on our website.
We have interpreted your request as asking for operations that were closed with no FCA Enforcement action.
For Enforcement operations closed with no FCA Enforcement action, there is other action that may be taken in respect of the issues that the FCA investigated. For market abuse, this can typically include action taken by the FCA issuing a letter reminding the firm or individual of their obligations, referring the matter to another agency or other action by FCA Supervision or FCA Market Oversight.
