Please can I request access to aggregate (if possible, quarterly, monthly will be better) time series data on payment of outstanding mortgage, ideally formatted as Excel spreadsheet data, and as far back in time as possible.
The reference link is Bank of England MLAR publication, which contains information on aggregate outstanding mortgage value, but no payment data available. Mortgage Lenders and Administrators Statistics - 2023 Q1 | Bank of England[1]
MLAR responded that FCA is in charge of data collection of this part and recommended to contact FCA.

Where payments are collected on a basis other than monthly, such as quarterly or annually, report the monthly equivalent (e.g. for annual payments, report one twelfth of the annual payment).
Please also be aware that data from different sources should be treated separately (e.g. Product Sales Data quoted in the table above should not be combined with Bank of England data on repayments of lending to individuals), as the use of different methodologies for each means they cannot be compared on a like-for-like basis.
