I am trying to establish some numbers around how many regulated mortgage advice firms (and/or individuals) there are within the United Kingdom. If there is a data set you could point me to, that would be very useful.

We can confirm that we hold the requested information, which is set out below. The number of firms holding an active permission for “Advising on regulated mortgage contracts” is 5,059. The number of individuals currently holding the “CPD20 - Advising or arranging regulated mortgage contracts” involvement is 34,856.
