Under the Freedom of Information Act and with reference to a previous FOI to the FCA (FOI6185), I would like to know the following:
• How many notifications of ‘data breaches’ (described in your previous FOI response ref. FOI6185 as ‘a confirmed incident in which the confidentiality of company or personal data is breached’) were reported by financial services companies to the FCA
I would like the data broken down by the type of financial sector – please use whatever categories the FCA uses.
I would also like the figures broken down by month for the 2019 calendar year.
