Summary of feedback received
The Knowledge Base is the UKLA’s repository of non-Handbook technical commentary that has the status of formal FCA guidance. It consists of a series of short technical and procedural notes (Notes) published in PDF form and ordered by topic. The Notes relate to aspects of Prospectus Rules, Listing Rules, Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules (PR, LR and DTR).
In January 2014 the FCA published CP14/2[1], which primarily set out proposals to amend the Listing Rule provisions governing sponsor competence. Two Notes were included in this consultation that were intended to assist sponsors complying with the new sponsor competence proposals. To address some of the feedback we received, we made some amendments and revised these two Notes.
In September 2014 the FCA published CP14/21[2], which set out our feedback to CP14/02 and also consulted on the revised Notes.
In Primary Market Bulletin No.10[3] we highlight the publication of two new Technical Notes in the Knowledge Base, which set out our approach to sponsor competence.

Having considered the feedback received, we have now updated the Knowledge Base as follows:
Two new Notes added

- UKLA/TN/715.1 - Practical implications of competence requirements for sponsors and applicants[5]
